Today after meeting with friends I decided to vear off and take a few photos of the Story Bridge at Sunset. After taking a few photos I continued my walk up the hill only to realise that there was a helicopter in the sky, and then that there were no cars on the bridge, and that there were so many police boats on the River. When I got to the top of the hill I saw a Channel 9 van and knew that someone was on the bridge risking their life.
For the first time in almost two months I took my camera out with me and this happened. I had all of my equipment (except a super zoomed in lens which I am kicking myself over) but I managed to get a few decent photos of the man sitting on a ledge of the bridge which I am really proud of.
He chose to climb up at 4pm on a Saturday night, with one side of the bridge going crazy because of an AFL game and the other going crazy because it’s the Valley and it’s a Saturday night so it was absolute chaos diverting traffic all the way through the city but this photo just makes it all seem so peaceful.
Anyway, yeah. Today a man attempted to jump into oncoming traffic on a bridge and I don’t know how it ended but I have a feeling that he got talked out of it.
Damn, this is a beautiful photo. Hope he didn’t off himself
